TSOL-MS800 in Home Assistant — validated local 02B0 monitoring

A real TSUN TSOL-MS800 has now been tested with TSUN Local in Home Assistant, confirming the tested 02B0 hardware and firmware path.

Validated compatibility

This page documents a real-hardware compatibility path, not a model-name assumption. TSUN Local still identifies devices from the local protocol exposed by the inverter/logger combination.

✅ Community validationA TSUN Local user reported that the integration works on a real TSOL-MS800 and supplied an anonymized Home Assistant diagnostic.
☀️ Two MPPT inputsThe independently documented test unit is a two-MPPT TSOL-MS800 and exposes the expected PV1/PV2 telemetry path.
🧩 Tested hardware pathObserved serial prefix Y47E… with logger firmware LSW5BLE_17_02B0_1.08-D1.
📡 Connection resilienceThe tester reported weak Wi-Fi and periodic disconnects, while noting that AC energy values remain retained during connection loss.

Local protocol path

TSUN TSOL-MS800 → local network → protocol 02B0 → TSUN Local → Home Assistant
Protocol: 02B0 on the tested unit. No inverter configuration writes are implemented.

Home Assistant setup

  1. Install TSUN Local through HACS.
  2. Restart Home Assistant.
  3. Add TSUN Local from Settings → Devices & services.
  4. Use automatic discovery when available, then verify the detected protocol and telemetry.

Validation evidence

Thanks to @Kmotr for the independent TSUN Local test and anonymized diagnostic. The same hardware owner previously documented the TSOL-MS800 02B0 register map and two-MPPT layout in ha-solarman issue #153. The TSUN Local result is tracked in compatibility issue #52.
